Little buddy grinder

The following order is going ahead. We can still add to the order for another few days, so if you want one, best get in quick!

Well we all know knife grinders don’t grow on trees down here in Australia.

I am talking to Chris at Wilmont about making us a batch of Grinders specifically for the Australian Market.

They will be the Wilmont Little Buddy full kit, with wheels unassembled.

They will not come with a motor, but will come manufactured to suit a standard motor frame available in Australia, with a drive wheel to suit the 24mm shafts normally found here.

I will need to buy 20 in one shipment to make this work, but I think there is enough interest, and I am happy to buy 5 for stock to get the ball rolling.

So far we have, 16 serious, and 2 interested. We are nearly there.

Want to get in on the deal but can’t pay up front? I would be estimating these won’t arrive until March or April year, (custom made, coming by sea etc) contact me for a payment plan option. I am sure we can work something out.

The price will be about $1150 (TBC). This price includes GST, freight from the USA to Geebung in QLD, Preston in Victoria, or Auburn NSW. but no motor. See posts below but motors and VFDs are available very cheaply off ebay,

This video gives a great run down on how versatile these grinders are,

These wil suit motors with a B14A flange and 90 frame

I can of course also supply any accessories and belts to suit these grinders, I stock the contact wheel arms for wheels from 3″ to 14″ and I also stock the small wheel attachments and the small wheels to suit.

Universal tool rest.

Put me down for one, Happy to pay a Deposit (50%?) upfront if required.
I would be wanting the small wheel kit for it as well.
I was going to design and make my one but at this price its not worth my time.
Obviously motor mount would suit variable speed?
Thank you for organising this.

To be clear I am not yet sure what motors are readily available here, but I will be going for a mount that is available on 240 volt and variable speed models. As I understand it the one I suggested may be good, but needs to be confirmed.

I know Matt Brook has a good handle on what is available, a chat with him would help.
